I love him to pieces, but there are times I could wring his neck! Those moments are a part of every marriage, though, right?
But there’s something I’ve realized over the years. It’s that when I express gratitude, the heaviness of the moment lifts. Even gratitude for the littlest of things. Partly because of that and partly because we just think it’s good etiquette, we say thank you to each other a lot. And I honestly believe it’s one of the foundations of our marriage that has kept us going strong for 22 years so far!
However, it’s not just in marriage. It’s in every situation.
Whether we are working with children or with ourselves, we cannot walk away from expressing gratitude without sensing at least a slight change in our demeanor.

Long before our generation faced the struggles of today, God gave His people a tool to fight against a selfish heart — to fight against the defeat that comes with negativity. Throughout the pages of His Word, He teaches us that an attitude of gratitude is necessary to walk in the victory that is ours to have through Him.
